任天堂宣布预定于Wii发售的恐怖游戏系列“零”新作《零～月食的假面～（零～月蝕の仮面～）》将于2008年7月31日发售。价格为6800日元。
本次预定推出的《零～月蚀的假面～》是系列作第 4 款作品，由 TECMO 开发，除了系列作老班底的制作人菊地启介与监制柴田诚之外，并请到 Grasshopper Manufacture 的须田刚一（代表作《七面杀手》、《英雄不再》）共同担任监制，由任天堂负责发行。游戏以「月」、「面具」与「记忆」为关键，并加入众多透过 Wii 来实现的新构想。游戏的主题仍然是玩家在废弃的大屋中展开冒险，并使用可以击退幽灵的摄影机进行战斗。不可见的敌人的恐怖感以及黑暗中孤身一人的孤独感将在本作中完美再现。本作针对Wii独特的体感功能，还加入了全新的恐怖体验。玩家将成为为了取回失去的記憶而前往朧月島、逐渐迫近事件的真相。
